The Castelbuono Civic Museum resumes its season of educational workshops with “The Edible Museum” Following the refurbishment of its spaces, the Castelbuono Civic Museum resumes its workshop activities for children with a special event: The Edible Museum, part of the public programme of Ecosistemi Connessi. “Museum and Post-Varietal Communities” by the artists Aterraterra (Fabio Aranzulla and Luca Cinquemani), curated by Maria Rosa Sossai, supported by the PAC2024 – Plan for Contemporary Art of the Ministry of Culture. The workshop, aimed at children aged 6 to 10, will take place on Tuesday 2 and Friday 5 September 2025, from 4 pm to 5.30 pm.

During the two sessions, the children will be able to experience nature as a living ecosystem through close observation of the structure installed by the Aterraterra artists, which forms part of the exhibition opening on 13 September. Clay pots and materials found in the vegetable garden will be created and decorated, into which the children will plant seeds of edible plants. It will be an opportunity to enrich both the garden and themselves. The word ‘edible’ indeed alludes to a broad spectrum of nourishment: spiritual, sensory, social and cultural.

Attendance at both sessions is required.
